    I have received several e-mails asking me why the Chipmunk below has a baby in her mouth, I don't really know why     but on that particular day the female Chipmunk came out of her nest with a baby, ran along one of the branches did a     loop-the-loop around the branch and then ran back into her nest.  She then came back out again with no baby, ran     around the enclosure once and then went back into her nest and repeated the same process over and over again     for about an hour.

    I am unsure why she did this, but I was very pleased that I had the chance to take a number of photos of this event for     you all to see.  I have spoken to a number of people who have experienced the same thing with their chipmunks, so this     maybe a common event, although this is a first for me.
